Mick Hanbury came along to the club and demonstrated both his turning and his artistic skills not least with a very dangerous looking piece of cling film. Mick started the day by turning a platter which he textured and then coloured. He followed this with an extremely decorative goblet and finally (in my opinion at least) a remarkably tasteful bowl using micro powders. To see more of the projects follow one of the links above. More of Mick’s work can be seen on his the web site here or on his facebook page or on YouTube. Some of Mick’s items on display during the demonstration at Lothian Hall, Crailing can be seen to the right. My thanks to David McReadie for various pictures on the detail pages. No space there to detail which.
