As ever it seems there is always more to learn and Jason’s demonstration was no exception. He performed it seemed minor miracles producing a box with a lid which was inlaid with 13 rings of African Black Wood (see top), a Pagoda style box with a finial lid (see middle) and finally a box called a radial double fluted box the shape of which looked as if it could be made no other way than with a small chisel and huge amounts of patience (see bottom). Two of the three boxes are somewhat Iconic to Jason and have won him several prizes and many accolades. To see more about the three boxes click on the pictures to be taken to a page for each. Many thanks to David McReadie for his pictures.
