Winners: Brian Etchells (experienced)Paul Ince (beginner) A very interesting and entertaining demonstration by John Scott on three techniques for creating wooden spheres. The first involved a cylinder being converted to a sphere by creating ever more sides of a polygon before smoothing off to a ball. Click here to see more. The second technique involved a special tool of John’s own making. Click here to see more. The third technique was not actually demonstrated (a) because John had tried at home and was unimpressed and (b) he ran out of time. For pictures of the other entries in the competition click here. Many thanks to Dick Robertson for the copy and the pictures.
